Education
I earned a B.A. in Creative Media with a minor in Art from California State University Stanislaus, where I was honored with the Dean's Award of Excellence in Spring 2024. My studies equipped me with expertise in marketing, design, journalism, photography, and film, while also allowing me to explore painting, drawing, sculpture, and printmaking, with a special emphasis on typography.
Work Experience
I have two years of experience as a journalist and video editor at The Signal, where I lead a team of student reporters, managing content production and upholding editorial standards. My work includes editing and producing both short- and long-form videos, using visual media to enhance storytelling. Additionally, I contribute to social media content, marketing strategies, and design, helping to boost engagement and visibility for the online publication.
Skills
I have extensive expertise in graphic design, web design, and illustration, with strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. My skills also encompass photography, video production, and editing, with a keen focus on color and composition to create visually compelling content. Additionally, I am well-versed in AP writing style, interviewing, and the publication process, complemented by a background in marketing that supports effective communication and audience engagement.
